Dr. Linh Nguyen and Dr. Karl Kingsley (both Dental) published the manuscript "qPCR Screening of Pediatric Saliva Samples to Evaluate Effects of Dental Sealants on Cariogenic Bacteria Streptococcus Mutans and Scardovia Wiggsiae" in the latest issue of Enviro Dental Journal, along with three dental students Olivia Tsang, Kevin Major and Sonia鈥
Dr. Neamat Hassan and Dr. Hassan Ziada (both Dental) were awarded the International College of Dentists' Fellowship (USA section, 2020). The International College of Dentists is the Preeminent Global Dental Honor Society that recognizes outstanding professional achievements and meritorious services while advocating for humanitarian and educational鈥

Dr. Jessica Immonen (Dental) was elected to serve a two-year term as a member of the American Association of Clinical Anatomist's Branding and Promotion Committee to spearhead the evolution of the AACA's digital materials.
Drs. Neamat Hassan and Karl Kingsley (both Dental) are serving as guest editors for a special issue of the Journal of Functional Biomaterials titled "Recent Advances in Dental Implants and Biomaterials."
Dr. Ron Lemon (Dental) accepted a nomination to join a committee responsible for helping redesign the Western Regional Examining Board competency assessment exam that 40 states 鈥 including Nevada 鈥 use to license dental professionals. During his one-year term, Lemon and his fellow committee members will re-evaluate multiple aspects of the exam,鈥
