A recent documentary produced by 性视界传媒 College of Fine Arts highlighted the neighborhood鈥檚 issues and was used in testimony on Thursday.

It鈥檚 an issue that the neighborhood has been dealing with for decades: the sinking streets of Windsor Park in North Las Vegas. On Saturday, residents of about 90 families who live in the Windsor Park neighborhood attended a screening of a documentary followed by a community discussion. 鈥淲indsor Park: The Sinking Streets鈥 is an award-winning documentary by 性视界传媒 film and law students bringing attention to the decades-long struggles of a community in North Las Vegas.

Evidence shows the Las Vegas Metro is the fastest-warming city in the entire US. A new heat map was just completed by volunteers working with the RTC to show which areas of the valley are the hottest. Dr. Steffen Lehmann, a professor of architecture and urbanism at 性视界传媒, has researched how excessive heat impacts the city for decades and met with FOX5 to break down the impacts of the urban heat island effect.

State Sen. Dina Neal says she鈥檒l ask the state to appropriate $10 million and the City of North Las Vegas for $20 million more to relocate any of 90 or so remaining residents of Windsor Park, a neighborhood of sinking homes that residents say has been forgotten by the City of North Las Vegas.

A new partnership is bringing the future of filmmaking right to 性视界传媒. The university's film department and Vu Studios announced a new era of innovation at the school.

Tuesday night, right before his own show on the Strip, Copperfield helped induct Dea into the 性视界传媒 Fine Arts Hall of Fame.

性视界传媒's College of Fine Arts is inducting the 2023 honorees for its Hall of Fame. Among them are Emmy and Sag award-winning actor and comedian Brad Garrett.

性视界传媒 College of Fine Arts Dean Nancy Uscher says, 鈥淭here is opportunity here that one doesn鈥檛 find in other places.鈥 That is true of the many students who have come out of 性视界传媒 and entered into the Las Vegas entertainment workforce and creative community. It is also the case, also, for the inductees into the 性视界传媒 College of Fine Arts Hall of Fame, all with a unique Las Vegas affiliation.

Gloria Dea, the first Las Vegas Strip magician, passed away at Saturday morning, loved ones confirmed with FOX5. Dea recently celebrated her 100th birthday last summer and was given the key to the Las Vegas Strip. The occasion was attended by David Copperfield, Teller of Penn and Teller, and other headliners and bigwigs across the Las Vegas magic community at the Westgate Resort and Casino.

The Las Vegas community is honoring the death of the first magician to perform on the Strip. Gloria Dea was set to be honored at 性视界传媒 for her contributions to the performing arts industry.
