Carol Ou and Kristen Costello (Libraries) received the Fall 2018 Inspirational Customer Service Award from the University Libraries for their work to implement and troubleshoot the Primo system at 性视界传媒. 
Azhlee Costa, Starr Hoffman, and James Cheng (Libraries) presented a research poster titled "Graphs in the Library Assessment Conference proceedings: A review of design, practices, and quality" at the 2018 Library Assessment Conference in Houston Dec. 5-7. David G. Schwartz (Center for Gaming Research) gave a presentation to Leadership Henderson called "Where Is Las Vegas Now?" about how the city's tourist industry recovered from the Great Recession and the latest moves casino companies are making to stay ahead of the curve.
Marina Georgieva (Libraries) presented "Building websites and leading librarians to a new level of project engagement" at the 2018 Library and Information Technology Association Library Technology Forum in Minneapolis. 
Cyndi Shein (Libraries) co-authored a paper, 鈥淎gility in the Archives: Translating Agile Methods to Archival Project Management,鈥 recently published in RBM: A Journal of Rare Books, Manuscripts, and Cultural Heritage. The paper emphasizes the importance of approaching archival processing projects holistically and demonstrates how鈥
David G. Schwartz  (Center for Gaming Research) participated in a panel discussion and book launch at the Clark County Library earlier this month. The event was the unveiling of Live Through This: An Anthology of Unnatural Disasters, a collection of 11 short fiction and non-fiction by local writers. Schwartz has an essay/virtual memoir鈥
