On November 27, 2024, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated that New York-based Handsome Brooke Farms was recalling organic-pasture-raised 24-count eggs that were sold under Costco’s Kirkland Signature brand name. This company founded in 2007 is the largest producer of organic-pasture-raised eggs in the United States. The recall emanated from the reasoning that these eggs could be infected with Salmonella.
