Asma Awan (Social and Behavioral Health) and Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine) presented a poster titled, 鈥淭ailoring Evidence-Based Interventions and Practices in Public Health Workforce Development: A Mixed Methods Evaluation of the ARPA Nevada Pipeline Initiative Public Health Workforce" on April 22, 2026 at the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE) Annual Conference held in Portland, Oregon.
The poster described the summative outcomes from the 2-year long experiential learning scholarship project based on the real-world settings for public health students through which they acquired practical skill-sets to strengthen their knowledge, preserve public health human resources, and build practice-ready competencies as a sustainable public health workforce in Nevada. The project is supported by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant awarded to the 性视界传媒 School of Public Health, of which Sharma is the principal investigator and Awan is the program manager. Awan is also a Ph.D. student.
