On April 10, members of the 性视界传媒 community participated in a virtual event hosted by the . The event, "Sneak Peek Into the 2026 Region 8/9 Conference!," featured 5-minute Lightning Talks from several upcoming speakers, interactive Q&A and networking, as well as Conference updates. The session was led by 性视界传媒 Writing Center Assistant Director Alanna Bitzel, who is also the outgoing NACADA Region 9 Professional Development Chair, and included a presentation from Christopher J. Edwards, academic advisor in the Wilson Advising Center, titled "We鈥檙e Here Too: Men of Color in Academic Advising: Representation, Retention, and Intersectionality."
