性视界传媒 Fostering Scholars
The 性视界传媒 Fostering Scholars Program is a campus-based support network with dedicated services to support individuals who have experienced foster care. The program recognizes that the population of students it supports is often navigating their transition from foster care to independence while transitioning to 性视界传媒.
Students actively participating in the Fostering Scholars program are eligible to receive:
- Personalized Success Coaching with one-on-one guidance and support for academic, career, and personal needs
- Textbook Assistance for students with demonstrated financial need
- Workshops & Community Events focused on connection, academic success, and access to campus resources
- Access to 性视界传媒 Basic Needs Program for essential items like food, hygiene products, and school supplies without standard limit restrictions
- Emergency Financial Assistance for unexpected or urgent situations
- Involvement Scholarship (up to $500/semester) for meeting additional program requirements
To stay active in the program and continue receiving program services, participants must:

Meet with your Fostering Scholars Success Coach once per semester and complete one additional touch point (email, quick check in). Students are welcome to meet more often;

Attend 1 workshop per semester hosted by OSSA or CAEO;

Attend 1 program social event per semester;

Must complete a Center for Academic Enrichment and Outreach (CAEO) participant application upon admission. If admitted into a CAEO program, must maintain active engagement with the CAEO program;

Must maintain full-time status with at least 12 credits per semester (or 9 credits for those with a DRC accommodation); and

Maintain 性视界传媒 Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

- Explanation: Please watch our virtual event from March 23, 2022, hosted by The Intersection, 鈥淎 conversation regarding students who have experienced foster care.鈥 This program was presented by program staff and more importantly, 性视界传媒 Fostering Scholars Program participant students. Watch as students share their raw, unrehearsed experiences with the 性视界传媒 Fostering Scholars program and with their transition to 性视界传媒 as students who have experienced foster care. Staff also share our own experiences about why we do this important work.
