ÐÔÊӽ紫ý Announces 2026–27 Common Read Selection

A committee of faculty, staff, and students has selected The Anthropocene Reviewed: Essays on a Human-Centered Planet by John Green as ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s common read for the 2026–27 academic year.

Incoming students will receive a copy of the book during Rebel Ready Week. A former New York TimesWall Street Journal, and USA Today bestseller and winner of the 2021 Goodreads Choice Award, the book explores the human impact on the planet through a collection of thoughtful and engaging essays.

Through first- and second-year seminars, students will use the text to engage in meaningful discussions with students, peer mentors, and faculty. The common read supports a shared intellectual experience, a high-impact practice shown to contribute to student success.
