Robert D. Faiss Lecture on Gaming Law & Policy 2026 April 21

The William S. Boyd School of Law cordially invites you to the upcoming Robert D. Faiss Lecture on Gaming Law & Policy. This year鈥檚 lecture features the Honorable Cheryl Moss (Ret.), who will present on: "Betting on Justice: Inside Nevada's Gambling Diversion Court".

Event Overview

As the gaming industry evolves with the rapid expansion of online gaming and mobile wagering, Nevada continues to lead the way in addressing the complex intersection of disordered gambling and the legal system.

Nevada's Gambling Treatment Diversion Court (GTDC) is the first and only court in the United States designed specifically for individuals whose criminal behavior is driven by disordered gambling. This session will examine the court鈥檚 purpose, its evolution since its 2018 launch in Clark County, and its role as a blueprint for jurisdictions worldwide.
