Notice of Construction: Roof Replacement over the Barrick Museum at Harry Reid Center June 15-Sept. 30

Planning & Construction is pleased to announce the replacement of the roof over the Barrick Museum within the Harry Reid Center (HRC). As part of that project the existing rooftop mechanical units will also be replaced. While the construction work will be above the museum on the roof, the contractor will also have a presence around the exterior of the building.

Beginning June 15 fencing will be installed at the south end of HRC at the landscaped area, and to the west of the building on the sidewalk. A crane will be located in the work space intermittently throughout the project and the fenced off area will remain in place for the duration of the project.

Please be aware noises from construction as well as dust may cause a disturbance if you are working in the vicinity of the project.

See below for additional details:

  • Construction timeline: June 15 - Sept. 30, 2026
  • Daily Working hours: Monday - Friday, midnight - 8 a.m.

Please follow all posted signage in the work area for your safety.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we strive to provide timely and transparent communication while working to improve and modernize our campus building resources.
