Samuel Song (Counselor Education, School Psychology, & Human Services; CSH) was recently recognized for having the top two, most-read articles (~8,500 combined) in the School Psychology Review (SPR; official journal of the National Association of School Psychologists) -- one as coauthor and one as first-author.      鈥

Jungnam Kim (Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services) published the manuscript "School Principals' and Counselors' Focus on College-going: The Impact of School Leader Expectations and Primary Goals on Postsecondary Education"  in the Journal of College Access. She worked alongside colleagues from Ball State University鈥
Chia-Liang Dai (Teaching and Learning) served as lead author on the article "Physical activity interventions targeting perceived body image among adolescent girls" published in the Journal of Physical Education and Sport in collaboration with colleagues Manoj Sharma (Environmental and Occupational Health), Ching-Chen Chen (Counselor鈥
Heather Dahl (Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services) was awarded the Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision Special Recognition Award at the most recent annual business meeting. The award honors individuals who have promoted and supported the counseling profession. 
Patrice Leverett (Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services) has been appointed as chair of the College of Education Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Committee. Wendy Rodgers (Early Childhood, Multilingual, and Special Education) will serve as chair-elect for the current academic year. 
Tonya Walls (Teaching & Learning and Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services) has published the book chapter "Transforming Curriculum, Exploring Identity, and Cultivating Culturally Responsive Educators" in Cultural Competence in Higher Education.  A co-authored manuscript, and published as part of the鈥

Samuel Song (Counselor Education, School Psychology, and Human Services) received his gavel as the new 2021 President of the Division of School Psychology of the American Psychological Association. This is a tradition for the new president to receive a monogrammed gavel from the current president and it occurred at this year's APA鈥
