Nancy Rapoport (Law) was part of a panel presentation entitled "Authenticity and Accountability: Evidence and Ethics in a Synthetic World" at the District of Arizona Annual Conference.
Benjamin Edwards (Law) attended a meeting of the American Bar Association’s Corporate Laws Committee, which is responsible for overseeing the Model Business Corporation Act.
Maryam Ahranjani (Law) presented her article, "Unarresting School Safety," to professor Carla Laroche's Prison Industrial Complex class at Tulane University. The piece was originally published in the Nevada Law Journal in 2025.
Maryam Ahranjani (Law) presented her research on school policing in Professor Vanessa Miller's class Police, Crime and Education at Florida International University College of Law.
Rebecca Nathanson (Law; Education) presented a paper titled, "Competency Remediation Program: Overview and update on analyses of efficacy" at the 2026 American Psychology-Law Society Annual Conference in Reno.  
Benjamin Edwards (Law) was recently reappointed to the Nevada Board of Finance by Governor Joe Lombardo. Professor Edwards was initially appointed to the board by Governor Steve Sisolak. 
Suzanna Geiser (Law) has been elected Secretary of the Association of Legal Writing Directors (ALWD) Board of Directors.
Danielle Finn, Kathryn Rand, and Steven Light (all Law) presented on "Prediction Markets: A forward-looking Analysis of Key Legal Trends Poised to Influence Tribal Gaming" at the 2026 Tribal Self-Governance Conference. 
Michael Kagan (Law) spoke at a Yale University Symposium on Free Speech Rights of Noncitizens.
Nachman Gutowski (Law) authored an organizational update on the Association of Academic Support Educators (AASE) for Raising the Bar. This quarterly publication by the AccessLex Institute focuses on sharing evidence-based insights regarding the bar exam.
Aparna Polavarapu (Law) served as a guest lecturer at UC Law San Francisco, where she presented on "Restorative Justice, Community and the Politics of Rights."
Kathryn Rand and Steve Light (both Law) were invited participants at "The Regulation of Vice: A Conference on the Contemporary Governance of Gambling, Recreational Drugs, and Pornography in the United States," hosted by the Center for Expanding Viewpoints in Higher Education at Tufts University.
