Ami Pritchard, along with Peter Wiens (both Teaching and Learning), Charles Brown (Education), and alumnus Andromeda Hightower published "Teacher leadership and teacher mentoring: Understanding the preparedness of mentors and their educational practices" in the International Journal of Mentoring and Coaching in Education.
Kari Kokka (Teaching and Learning) published an article "'Sometimes emotions are really beneficial and important': Theorizing Emotional Tools of Creative Insubordination" with her colleagues Marrielle Myers and Rochelle Guti茅rrez in Instructional Science, an international journal of the learning sciences.
Danielle Mireles, Eden Wolde, Norma A. Marrun, Marla Goins, Azul Ure帽o-Villalba, and Christine Clark (Teaching and Learning) co-authored a research article, "鈥業 almost feel like they don鈥檛 want me to say anything at all鈥: racist ableism and the (Dis)location of caregivers of Color in schools," in the journal of Race Ethnicity and Education.鈥
Kari Kokka (Teaching and Learning) was elected president-elect of TODOS Mathematics for ALL. She will serve one year as president-elect 2025-2026, two years as president 2026-2028, and one year as past president 2028-2029.
On Wednesday, October 1, Michelle Arroyo (Teaching & Learning) presented "In the Moment: Making Learning Engaging with Formative Assessment," a 90-minute interactive workshop offered in partnership with the 性视界传媒 Teaching & Learning Commons. Howard R.D. Gordon (Teaching and Learning) gave a presentation on "Collecting Industry and Occupation Data for Cancer Professionals and Health Educators" at the Indiana Association for Career and Technical Education State Conference.
Chad Scott (Teaching and Learning) participated on a panel discussion at the Third Annual Las Vegas Arts and Culture Summit, on August 21 at the Historic Fifth Street School, Downtown Las Vegas.
