Even as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to create economic uncertainty, 性视界传媒 is working to advance the social mobility of its students, a new ranking of higher education institutions finds.
性视界传媒 surged to the top 10 percent in CollegeNet, Inc.鈥檚 2020 Social Mobility Index, an annual analysis that ranks four-year U.S. colleges and universities according to how effectively they enroll students from under-resourced backgrounds and graduate them into well-paying jobs.
鈥溞允咏绱 graduates make important contributions every day in almost every industry, and we鈥檙e proud to be recognized within the nation鈥檚 top 10 percent for social mobility,鈥 said 性视界传媒 President Keith E. Whitfield. 鈥淏ut it鈥檚 more than just a ranking for us, as it reinforces our core mission to improve lives through education.鈥
性视界传媒 jumped 50 spots in 2020鈥檚 index to rank 131 out of more than 1,400 schools across the country (the university ranked 185 in 2019). The annual ranking measures tuition cost, economic background of the university鈥檚 student body, graduation rate, early career salaries, and the university鈥檚 endowment.
The ranking also comes at a time when 性视界传媒鈥檚 enrollment is holding steady despite the COVID-19 pandemic, and first-year retention figures are at an all-time high of 79.8 percent.

CollegeNet, Inc. said in a that its annual Social Mobility Index is an effort 鈥渢o redirect the attribution of 鈥榩restige鈥 in our higher education system toward colleges that are advancing economic opportunity and social mobility.鈥 They noted 性视界传媒鈥檚 rise to the top 10 percent in this year鈥檚 ranking as a 鈥渘otable鈥 achievement.
