What
(NICRP) and the Children's Advocacy Alliance (CAA) will celebrate "Nevada Children's Day" to highlight the importance of providing the youngest Nevadans a strong start in life and accessibility to quality early learning experiences.
The event is open to the public with free admission to the Las Vegas Natural History Museum for children and adults. Activities include a resource fair featuring nearly 30 community groups focusing on kids, families, health and education.

The event coincides with the Seventh Annual Step Up for Kids Day event. Each year, Step Up for Kids brings together thousands of people to show widespread support for investments in children and families. Participants include child advocates, politicians, parents and kids. Events across the states raise awareness among voters and political candidates regarding the issues American children face, among them access to early care and learning and after-school programs, poverty, child abuse and neglect and health care.

The Nevada Institute for Children's Research and Policy (NICRP), located within the School of Community Health Sciences at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, is a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to improving the lives of children through community-based research, advocacy and other specialized services. NICRP is also home to Prevent Child Abuse Nevada, a chartered chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America, as well as Every Child Matters in Nevada.
