Nevada State Bank, celebrating its 60th anniversary, has been a strong community supporter in Southern Nevada since about the time the ÐÔÊӽ紫ý was established. Now the bank is continuing that tradition of community service by making a $250,000 donation to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s Lee Business School to support the planning and construction of a new business academic building.

After 15 years of intense case competition and finishing as the runner-up twice, ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s American Marketing Association won first place — and $3,000 — in the collegiate case competition in New Orleans during the AMA International Collegiate Conference.

The dean of ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s Lee Business School is hoping a $4 million pledge will make the school’s Center for Entrepreneurship competitive regionally and nationally.

The business school of the ÐÔÊӽ紫ý this year boasts a higher ranking among the nation's top undergraduate business programs, according to 2016 college ratings released today by U.S. News & World Report.
