Most pedestrian accidents in Las Vegas tell a predictable story. When an adult is struck while walking in or near the street, the pedestrian bears responsibility about 75% of the time, estimates Erin Breen, director of ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s Road Equity Alliance Project. These adults are typically jaywalking or walking at night in dark clothing that makes them nearly invisible to drivers. But when it comes to child victims going to or from school, the blame flips around, she said.
