In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, I am partnering with the 性视界传媒 CARE Center to share an important message with our 性视界传媒 community.
Sexual assault and sexual violence is an issue that permeates all communities, including university campuses across the nation. The 性视界传媒 CARE Center, formerly the Jean Nidetch Women鈥檚 Center, offers resources for everyone at 性视界传媒, including information specifically for students and for faculty and staff.
Individuals who have been sexually assaulted may not know where to turn or what actions to take next. Even naming the event as 鈥渟exual assault鈥 can be a long, emotional journey. I want you to know what happened to you isn鈥檛 your fault, we believe you, and you are not alone. The 性视界传媒 CARE Center is here to help.
The center has events scheduled throughout April to raise awareness and provide a safe space for victims-survivors to learn about healing tools. This year鈥檚 theme is Thrive in Y(our) Story, providing individuals a chance to explore storytelling through art, writing, and movement.
