Inspiration
When I was 5 years old, I had a stroke that paralyzed the entire right side of my body. I spent 11 days in a local hospital and went through years of mental and physical rehabilitation. (I later) volunteered in a hospital and from there I knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.
Biggest Challenge
I had to apply three times before I got into the program. I have to work my butt off to get B’s and C’s, but one thing I can say is that if I set my goal on something I will get it. ÐÔÊӽ紫ý, through the process, taught me grit and hard work and determination.
Memorable Professors
Two faculty members really took me under their wing and mentored me throughout this entire process — George Palos, the program director, and Chad Hensley, the clinical director. I think of them as my college dads.
Surprise
Before I started the X-ray program, I didn’t realize the connections I would have with my classmates. They really became my family. The hours upon hours we spent in the lab, studying the positioning, studying the physics – it really built a family. I’m going to know them forever.
