Wellness Committee
This committee will support residents and fellows to develop insight into their state of wellness and tools to help them sustain/improve their sense of well-being throughout their careers. The Wellness Committee will focus on ways to develop physicians who are emotionally intelligent, resilient, and foster a community of professional behavior with effective communication. The goal of the committee is to foster improved interdisciplinary communication and provide trainees with resources to further their well-being. This will translate into:
- Foster and grow a physician鈥檚 level of emotional intelligence with an emphasis on healthy professional relationships
- Promote a growth mindset
- Increase resilience
- Reduce burnout
- Improve patient care
- Increase sense of community within UMC and the greater Las Vegas area
