Class Notes

Michelle Voelkening, Gaby Rodriguez

Michele Voelkening, 鈥94 Communication Studies, and Gaby Rodriguez, 鈥14 Communication Studies, co-founded Las Vegas-based public relations and digital marketing agency The PMA Agency. Voelkening serves as president and managing partner. Rodriguez is vice president of public relations and community outreach. The agency鈥檚 clients include Connections Academy, Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada and The Children鈥檚 Cabinet/First 5 Nevada.

Karen Hall

Karen Hall, '88 BA Communication Studies, will be inducted into the Pennsylvania State Hall-of-Fame for her basketball career in October 2025.  

Lisa Story

Lisa Griffith Story, 鈥84 BA Communication Studies, authored the book, Better Dead Than Poor: Stories and Letters from Uncle D.B. Cooper, in which she dives into her uncle鈥檚 shadowy past, uncovering ties to paramilitary ops and criminal activities.

Timothy Rainey

Timothy Rainey, '04 Communication Studies, was  named one of the top contemporary hit radio program directors in the country for 2024. Rainey works for iHeartMedia, based in Portland, and programs radio stations like Z100 Portland, JAMN 107.5 Portland, and V101.1 Sacramento. While attending 性视界传媒, he was an on-air personality at 98.5 KLUC.
