Undergraduate Advising
Lee Undergraduate Advising provides guidance for all undergraduate students in the Lee Business School. Academic advisors are available every day by appointment to provide a number of services including: comprehensive information on our degree programs, assistance in developing a personal academic plan, help preparing a class schedule, and a host of services to make your educational experience at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý a positive one.
Our knowledgeable staff is committed to assisting all students in navigating the degree programs in the Lee Business School as well as university processes. We assist with distribution and completion of campus forms, and make referrals to other offices and services on campus. Advising maintains an updated student file containing each student's academic record, which is available for student review any time during your college career.

Current LEE Students
As a current Lee Business School (LEE) student, we recommend that you schedule a 30-minute appointment with an academic advisor as least once each academic year. During that appointment, you can talk with your advisor about your plans for your next several semesters. You can explore opportunities for studying abroad, student involvement, and internships. If you’re struggling academically, your advisor will probably be able to suggest some campus resources for you to explore.

Newly Admitted to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý
If you’ve been admitted to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý and to Lee Business School (LEE) for an upcoming semester, then congratulations and welcome. Without a doubt, you have many questions. Lee Undergraduate Advising will help you with those questions. Your first step to receive academic advising differs slightly depending on whether you’re coming to us from high school or after attending another higher-education institution.
If you haven’t earned any college-level credits after graduating high school and before beginning at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý, then you’re coming to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý as a first-year student. Your first step for academic advising is to attend ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s New Student Orientation (NSO). At NSO, you’ll receive information about ÐÔÊӽ紫ý, about your academic requirements, as well as your class schedule for your first semester. You’ll, also, have the opportunity to meet current ÐÔÊӽ紫ý students and other newly admitted students.
As a first-year student, it’s possible that you’re coming to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý with some college-level credits, such as AP, IB, or perhaps dual-enrollment, and that’s great. Remember to have those official transcripts sent to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý.
For students who have attended another college or university after high school and before attending ÐÔÊӽ紫ý, you’re considered a transfer student. Your first step for academic advising is to attend LEE’s mandatory online group-advising session. At the group-advising session, you’ll receive academic information; personalized documentation that details how your transfer credits apply to a business degree; and a suggested schedule for your first semester. Remember to have those official transcripts sent to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý from each school you’ve attended. If you have AP or IB credits from high school, you’ll need to send those records, as well.
Separate from this academic advising, ÐÔÊӽ紫ý hosts New Student Orientation (NSO) sessions for transfer students. We strongly recommend that you attend those session because they are a good way to learn about what ÐÔÊӽ紫ý has to offer in a short amount of time.
Prospective or Returning Students
If your considering applying to Lee Business School (LEE), we have some information to help you get started on your process of becoming a LEE student.
Perhaps you’re already a ÐÔÊӽ紫ý student and want to become a business student. If this is the case, then there are a few things you should research before you meet with an advisor. To be eligible for admission to LEE from another college at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý, you must have a 2.5 ÐÔÊӽ紫ý GPA. As a non-business major, you can begin taking your lower-division (100- and 200-level) business requirements before changing to a Lee Business School major. We call those requirements our pre-major requirements. The various business majors are math-oriented disciplines. For that reason, business students must earn a minimum C grade in MATH 124, College Algebra, or in a higher-level math class. We recommend that you check out our academic planning toolkit to help you get started learning about some of our academic requirements.
If you were a previous ÐÔÊӽ紫ý student but haven’t attended ÐÔÊӽ紫ý in a specific amount of time, then your first step to return will probably be to reapply for admission to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý. If you’re unsure that you need to reapply, then you can check with ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s Undergraduate Admissions to ask about your status. After you’re admitted, you’ll be eligible for academic advising, and your first step will be to attend LEE’s online group-advising session
If you’ve never attended ÐÔÊӽ紫ý but want to, then you must apply for admission. Once you’ve been admitted, you’ll be eligible for academic advising, and your first step will be to attend LEE’s online group-advising session.
Non-Degree-Seeking Students
A non-degree-seeking student is someone who hasn’t been admitted to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý to pursue a degree program but who would like to some classes at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý. There are several reasons someone might do this, such as for professional development.
The first step to becoming a non-degree-seeking student is to submit the non-degree application through ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s Undergraduate Admissions. After that application has been processed, then you would have access to ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s registration system, once registration opens.
Non-degree-seeking students have limitations on how many credits they may take and which courses they’re allowed to take. Lee Business School (LEE) allows non-degree-seeking students to take lower-division (100- and 200-level) business classes and certain upper-division business classes. Non-degree-seeking students must satisfy course prerequisites for the courses requested. For LEE to verify prerequisites, non-degree-seeking students must submit to LEE all unofficial transcripts from previously attended colleges and universities. Non-degree-seeking students are not allowed to take upper-division (300- and 400-level) accounting classes.
